Let’s be honest—every blogger hits a creative slump. Whether it’s the blinking cursor, the feeling of 'been there, blogged that,' or just general digital fatigue, losing your blogging mojo can feel… blah.

But here’s the good news: your blog mojo isn’t gone. Nope. It’s just waiting for a little spark. So, grab your favourite cuppa, light a candle, or throw on your wildest playlist, and try one of these five FUN ways to bring the magic back to your blog. Here we go!

1. Write the Blog You’d Want to Read Over Brunch

Forget SEO for a moment. Forget structure. Forget what will people think? Now ask yourself: What would I love to read on a lazy Sunday morning with coffee and croissants?

Write that. Maybe it’s quirky thoughts on life, a dreamy travel memory, or an unfiltered rant wrapped in love. Write with joy. Write with freedom. Write like no one’s watching—and hit publish anyway.

Mojo Tip 1: Start with a title that makes you smile.

2. Play with Visuals Like a Collage Artist

Sometimes words need a break. Try creating a mood board for your next blog post. Use Pinterest, Canva, or even scissors and glue if you're feeling old-school. Gather images, colours, and quotes that match your theme or vibe.

Let your post emerge from the visuals. You might surprise yourself with a fresh angle or idea.

Mojo Tip 2: Add a little collage-style image to your blog post for that extra pop of personality (and shareability!)

3. Break the rules and write something wildly different

Who says blogs need to be serious essays or neatly formatted guides? Try:

A poem about your creative process

A love letter to your favourite notebook

A fictional story inspired by your last walk in nature

A humorous day in the life told from the perspective of your coffee mug.

Get weird. Get whimsical. Have FUN with it.

Mojo Tip 3: Experiment with voice—try writing a post in the style of your favourite character, TV host, or childhood self.

4. Revisit an Old Blog and Remix It

Pull up one of your oldest blog posts. Read it like a stranger would. Now ask: What would I say about this now?

You can:

  • Rewrite it from a wiser perspective

  • Turn it into a fun listicle

  • Add colourful visuals or a new story that wasn’t there before

Recycling content is not only smart. It’s creatively energising.

Mojo Tip 4: End with a new reflection or takeaway. Something like, “If I could tell my 2017 self one thing, it would be…

5. Make It a Game (Seriously, gamify it!)

Turn blogging into a playful challenge. Try:

  • The “20-minute blog post” timer challenge

  • Using five random words (e.g. bubblegum, lighthouse, velvet, dragonfly, cupcake) in one post

  • Writing a post inspired by the first song lyric you hear today

  • Swapping blogs with a friend and writing on each other’s topics

Blogging doesn’t have to be a chore. Why not use it as your creative playground?

Mojo Tip 5: Share your game with your readers and invite them to join!

Your Voice Is Worth Hearing!

Blogging is still one of the most powerful ways to express, connect, and create lasting impact. But more than that—it’s a joyful, creative act.

Don’t wait for perfect ideas or polished words. Just start. Play. Share. Repeat. And remember: the more fun you have, the more your readers will feel it, too.
